Mr. Lee Roy Cochran, age 83, of Salem, passed away Friday, March 6 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Mr. Cochran was born May 29, 1936 in Ballenger, Texas the son of Raymond L. and Josephine Tegel Cochran. He was retired from Cummins Engine in Seymour. Lee was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Salem First Christian Church and the John Hay Center Historical Society. Lee loved to play fast pitch softball with the Salem Men’s Softball League and fishing.
Lee is survived by his wife: Faye Zink Cochran. They were married December 6, 1974. He is also survived by a daughter: Natalie King of Crawfordsville, Indiana, two sisters: Sylvia Rutherford of Salem and Patsy JoAnn Cochran of Salem, and two grandchildren: Brenden King and Christopher King. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Joyce Colglazier and Patricia Franklin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM and Tuesday from 11AM-time of service.
