Larry D Crane

February 14, 1949 — January 26, 2018

Mr. Larry D. Crane passed away Friday, January 26 at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mr. Crane was born February 14, 1949, in Fredericksburg, Indiana the son of Murl and Mattie Dimple Morrison Crane.  He was a General Contractor.  He was a member of Ben Davis Christian Church in Indianapolis and the Police Board of Bargersville.

Larry is survived by his wife:  Ava Griffith Crane.  They were married August 14, 1971.  He is also survived by three sons:  Anthony Crane (Kathryn) of Troy, Ohio, Aaron Crane (Carrie Schroeder) of Indianapolis, and Adrian Crane (Emily) of Brownsburg, Indiana, a daughter:  Autumn Letendre of Fishers, Indiana, a sister:  Diane Chastain (Mark) of Naperville, Illinois, 11 grandchildren and many wonderful relatives.  He was preceded in death by a brother:  Donald E. Crane, a sister:  Carolyn Ann Crane and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Posey Chapel Church.  Burial will be in Posey Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, February 2,  from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday, February 3,  from 10:30AM-time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a Larry D. Crane Scholarship for WWHS students.  Details on how to donate will be finalized at a later date.
