Mr. Kevin E. Lawson, age 65, of Pekin passed away Wednesday, February 5 at his home.
Mr. Lawson was born August 18, 1959, in Salem,the son of Edward C. Lawson and Benita J. Cauble Lawson. He was a 1977 graduate of Eastern High School. He was a member of Pekin Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver for Pro Laminators. Kevin was a member of Pierce Polk Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years and also an EMT.
Kevin is survived by his wife: Brenda Musslemen Lawson. They were married May 15, 1999. He is also survived by two sons: Myles A. Lawson (Ciara) of Charlestown and Marshall E. Lawson (Holly) of Salem, three daughters: Valerie L. Berry (Johnnie) of Clarksville, Veronica S. Bagshaw (Scott) of Memphis, Indiana and Jessica M Smith (Edward) of Memphis, Indiana, his mother: Benita Lawson of Pekin and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father: Edward Lawson and one grandson: Samuel Livers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Noon at Pekin Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Pekin Methodist Church and Saturday from 11AM-time of service at Pekin United Methodist Church.
