Kenneth "KR" Martin

Kenneth (K.R.) Martin, age 81, of Campbellsburg passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. 

Mr. Martin was born May 18, 1943, in Indianapolis, the son of Kenneth B. Martin and Janet Ricks Martin. He was a United States Army Veteran. KR was retired from Monon Railroad, and Baker Trucking. He was an active member of the Salem VFW. 

He is preceded in death by his son: Brian Elliott (Eli) Lockard (Valeri), and his parents. 

KR is survived by two brothers: Tim Martin of Dunreith, IN, and David Martin (Jeri) of Indianapolis, his grandchildren: Jacob (Breanna) of Campbellsburg, Audriana of Indianapolis, Kayla of Indianapolis, and Kerry Ray also of Indianapolis, and 4 great-grandchildren: Kairie, Jasper, Parker, and Oliver. 

KR will take his final ride on July 18, 2024, at 1PM starting at the Salem VFW. Followed by a graveside service at Rock Springs Church Cemetery in Hardinsburg, IN with military honors. A memorial dinner will follow at Salem VFW. 

If you would like to take that ride with KR, please arrive at the Salem VFW at 12:30PM. Cars are welcome, bikes will follow directly behind KR and family.
