Mrs. Kathleen Walton age 92 of Campbellsburg passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
Kathleen was born March 27, 1925 in Mitchell, Indiana the daughter of Stephan Earl and Ruby Green Wicker. After her father passed away when she was young, Kathleen went to work as a riveter for Office-Wright Airplane Factory in Louisville to help support her and her mother. Kathleen was a 1944 graduate of Campbellsburg High School. She also worked for Reynolds Metals, as a telephone operator and as a clerk typist for Quartermaster Depot in Jeffersonville. She was the school secretary for Campbellsburg High School and then West Washington High School from 1956-1979. She was a member of Smedley Church of Christ. She was a former member of Campbellsburg Rebekah Lodge, Homemaker’s Club and Fireman’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Eugene “Gene” Walton and her parents. She is survived by one daughter: Pam Moore (Dale) of Salem, three grandchildren: Holly Goode of Fredericksburg, Todd Moore (Erin) of Salem and Kelly Duncan (Dan) of Milford, and five great-grandchildren: Seth Goode of Fredericksburg, Jay Duncan of Milford, Madelyn Moore of Salem, Evelyn Duncan of Milford and Caris Moore of Salem.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM-noon at Weathers Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow visitation at Smedley Cemetery with burial in Smedley Cemetery.
