Joyce Ann Holsapple

Mrs. Joyce Ann Holsapple, age 87, of Salem, passed away Monday, February 12 at Ascension St. Vincent Salem Hospital. 

Mrs. Holsapple was born May 7, 1936, in Mitchell, Indiana, the daughter of John E. Dorsett and Virginia Pauline Kinder Dorsett.  She was a member of First Christian Church in Salem and Tri-Kappa.  She was also a former employee of Carpenter’s Body Works and Jay C Food Stores, then was a homemaker. 

Joyce married Robert Holsapple on June 19, 1955, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Janice Cooper and Jeannie Dorsett and her parents. 

She is survived by her children:  Mike Holsapple (Julie) of Springville, Indiana and Sherri Craig (Rodney) of Scottsburg, five grandchildren:  Katie Craig, Jordan Craig (Amy), Elaine Arthur (David), Joanna Campbell (Sean), and Erin Brown (Logan), and four great grandchildren:  Mason Craig, Jackson Craig, Hudson Arthur, and Caleb Arthur. 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7PM and Friday from 9Am-time of service at the funeral home.
