Joyce Ann (Rodman) Fordyce

Mrs. Joyce Ann Fordyce, age 87, of Salem passed away Tuesday, October 30 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Fordyce was born March 2, 1931 in South Boston, Indiana the daughter of Willard Rodman and Marie Taylor Wyman.  She was a medical assistant for Dr. Martin, a hairdresser and a volunteer with the hospital auxiliary.  She was a member of Salem First Christian Church and Homemakers at First Christian Church.

Joyce is survived by her husband:  Charles Fordyce.  They were married May 28, 1948.  She is also survived by two sons:  David Fordyce of Salem and Brent Fordyce (Jessica) of Salem, five grandchildren:  Cherity Fordyce, Austin Fordyce, Aaron Joseph Fordyce, Lindsey Fordyce-Campbell and Megan Fordyce and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son:  Trent Fordyce, a sister:  Eula Jane Benson, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
