Mr. John Ruckman Jr. age 95 of Pekin passed away Monday, November 19 at his home.
Mr. Ruckman was born November 13, 1923 in Kokomo, Indiana the son of John Ruckman Sr. and Ula Clay Harrison Holder. He was a truck driver and machinist for Indy Star News. He was a World War II Army veteran and drove a tank in the 44th Tank Battalion. He was a member of American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon Loy Ruckman of Pekin. They were married November 13, 1999. He is also survived by four sons: John Monroe Ruckman III of Kokomo, James Monroe Ruckman of Kokomo, Joseph Monroe Ruckman of Kokomo, and Jack Monroe Ruckman of Pekin, three daughters: Kitty Lee Grangier of Pekin, Alice Martin of Kokomo and Tina Crady of Pekin, 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Gene Ruckman and a sister: Joan Ruckman and his parents.
Services were private. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
