John Richard Morris

Mr. John R. Morris age 77 of Salem passed away Monday, March 18 at his home.

Mr. Morris was born August 21, 1935 in Salem the son of Burl W. "Cotton" and Irene Bush Morris.  He was a retired realtor for Day Company Realtors and had formerly worked in outdoor advertising for Nagely, 3M and the Indiana Department of Transportation.  He was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church, Salem Lions Club and a 50 plus year member of Salem Masonic Lodge #21.  He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife:  Ginger Baker Morris.  They were married October 23, 1957.  He is also survived by two sons:  John Michael Morris of Odessa, Florida and Christopher Lane Morris of Salem, a sister:  Cynthia Lane Morris Brannen of Inverness, Florida and 7 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Salem Presbyterian Church.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday from 10AM-time of service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations by made to the Washington County Community Foundation/John and Ginger Morris Touch Tomorrow Fund, Salem Presbyterian Church or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
