John W King

Mr. John W. King age 62 of Salem passed away Tuesday, July 1 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.

Mr. King was born April 8, 1952 in Salem, Indiana the son of Frank and Florence Jo Seltzer King.  He was a retired employee of Crane Builders and had previously worked in Human Resources for 25 years at Caesers Indiana, United Technologies, AvNet, and Salem Community Schools as Safety Tranportation Director. He graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in Business Administration.  He was a member of Posey Chapel Church, Livonia Conservation Club and NRA.

He is survived by his wife:  Karen Crane King.  They were married December 31, 1976.  He is also survived by two daughters:  Rachel King of Salem and Laura King of Fairfield, California.  He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Dale King in 2012 and Larry A. King in 1973 and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Posey Chapel Church. Burial will follow in Posey Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service at the church.
