Mr. John H. Edwards age 91 of Salem passed away Sunday, May 10 at his home.
Mr. Edwards was born July 10, 1923 in Orange County, Indiana the son of Alva Ethel and Blanche Hardman Edwards. He was a retired tool and die maker and a member of First Baptist Church in Campbellsburg.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years: Imogene Carey Edwards. He is also survived by two sons: Jack Edwards (June) and Brian Edwards (Dixie) both of Campbellsburg, a daughter: Judy Barnett (Sam) of Vincennes, step-daughters: Sondra Rippy (Duane) of Pekin and Gloria Parker of Salem, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Mary Jo Huffman Edwards, brother: Leonard “Monk” Edwards, three sisters: Bertha Reinier, Mary Mayor, and Grace Bunson, his parents and a great-grandson: Jude Hubbard.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 23 at 10:00AM at Freedom Cemetery.
