Johanna "Chris" (Boling) Burns

Mrs. Johanna “Chris” Burns age 60, of Salem, passed away Thursday, September 19 at her home.

Mrs. Burns was born March 2, 1959 in Jeffersonville, Indiana the daughter of Howard Wayne Boling and Shirley Maxine Helton Boling.  She retired from Jeffersonville High School after 30 years as a Special Ed Teacher.  She was an active volunteer for Wonder Valley Christian Camp for over 40 years.  She attended Mt. Tabor Christian Church and was a member of Washington County Retired Teacher’s Association.

She is survived by her husband:  Michael Burns.  They were married January 6, 1990.  She is also survived by her daughter:  Carrissa Ann Burns of Salem, a brother:  Mark Edward Boling of Campbellsburg, a sister:  Sandra Lea Magner (Denny) of Orleans, and her father:  Howard Boling of Campbellsburg.  She was preceded in death by her mother:  Shirley Boling.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Saltillo Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6PM and Monday from 10AM-time of service.
