Jo Ann Hinzy

 Mrs. Jo Ann Hinzy, age 76, of Salem, passed away Monday, March 18 at Meadow View Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Hinzy was born August 5, 1947, in Bedford, Indiana the daughter of Clyde Beasley and Ruth V. Callahan Beasley.

 She retired from Child Craft.  Jo Ann loved crafting and working in her yard and with her flowers, listening to music and rock collecting.  She loved Christmas time and putting up her tree and lights.  She enjoyed meeting with the girls once a month when she was able.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband:  Arthur Hinzy, two sisters:  Vivian Miller and Lou Etta Dalton, her parents, and bonus family siblings: Bobby Farmer, Ruth Ann Patton, and Judy Carol Baker.  She is survived by a brother:  Charlie Beasley (Carolyn) of Martinsville, a sister:  Molly Turner (Lucky) of Bedford. She is also survived by the children of Buster Wells who she loved and considered as her brothers and sisters: Bill Wells (Gwen) of West Baden, Larry Wells of Salem, Sharon Elkins (Jim) of New Haven, IN, Junior Wells (Paula) of Marion, IL, and Carol Wiggins (Larry) of Atmore, AL. Jo Ann is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews both biological and bonus, she is also survived by her friends, Tammie Wease and John Tolliver who she loved and considered as her adopted children.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Paoli.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM-time of service.
