Jewel J (Purlee) Nale

Mrs. Jewel J. Nale age 83 of Salem passed away Sunday, April 24 at Covered Bridge Health Center in Seymour.

Mrs. Nale was born December 29, 1932 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Jesse and Addie Marshall Purlee.  She was a retired cook for Salem Middle School.  She was a member of Canton Christian Church.

Jewel was preceded in death by her husband:  Herbert Nale, three brothers:  Richard, Laurel and Ronnie Purlee, and her parents. She is survived by two sons:  Jeff Nale of Salem and Phil Nale (Sonya) of Brownstown, two brothers:  Bruce Purlee and Gary Purlee both of Sellersburg, Wanda Kay of Sun City, Arizona, three grandchildren:  Britney Nale Stone (Jaden), Taylor Nale and Cassie Nale, and two great-grandchildren:  Bristin Stone and Keistin Stone.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 10AM-time of service.
