Jesse was born June 23, 1960 in Salem the son of Victor and Bertha Hurd Gilstrap. He was a farmer and an employee of Kimball's.
He is survived by his wife: Rose Ann "Gigi" Loftus Gilstrap of Salem, two sons: Adam Gilstrap (Nikki) of Pekin and Josh Gilstrap of Salem, a daughter: Rachel Gunn (Mike) of Cox's Creek , Kentucky, his mother: Bertha Gilstrap of New Salisbury, a brother: Jeffrey Gilstrap of Milltown, three sisters: Dee Dee England and Vicki Weidman both of Salem and Jaulita Waleher of Arizona, five grandchildren: Mykenzee, Dawson, Conner, Tanner and Jason and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Victor Gilstrap and a nephew: Bob England.
