Mr. Jerry D. Huff, age 74, of Pekin, passed away Saturday, November 28 at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana.
Mr. Huff was born December 5, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana to Kenneth and Irene Criswell Huff. He was a 1965 graduate of West Washington High School and a Vietnam veteran. He was retired from Industrial Disposal in 2011. He was a current employee of O’Reilly’s.
Jerry was an avid IU basketball fan. He played softball until he was 57 and loved playing basketball. He loved to fish.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Bonnie J. Porter Huff. They were married May 14, 2005. He is also survived by seven children: Jackie (Robert) Buick of Oregon, Jerry (Ervina) Huff Jr. of Oregon, Laura Thompson of Zionsville, Indiana, Taylor (Brendan) Anderson of Corydon, Jessica (Anthony Brown) Grindle of Saltillo, Michael (Meagin Hodges) Grindle of Fredericksburg, and Megan Grindle of Pekin, and 13 grandchildren: S. Joseph Ponsford, Jacob Brown, Tyler Anderson, Malakie Anderson, Lilly Grindle, Scarlet Thompson, Jackson Underwood, Lucy Brown, Frankie Voyles, Archer Thompson, Annika Huff, Danni Voyles, and Waylon Grindle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Jackie Huff.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4 at 7PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Friday from 11AM-time of service.
