Jerald L Shanks

Mr. Jerald L. Shanks age 62 of Salem passed away Saturday, September 24 at his home.  Mr. Shanks was born April 16, 1954 in Salem the son of Lowell "Chic" and Naomi Chastain Shanks.  He was Superintendent and Foreman for Washington County Highway Department for over 20 years.  He was a member of Smedley Church of Christ, Eagles #655 in Seymour and VFW #6636 in Salem.  He is survived by his wife:  Tammy Booker Shanks of Salem, three sons:  Brad Shanks (Cathy), James Shanks (Amanda) and Keenan Shanks all of Pekin, a daughter:  Kentrell Shanks of Pekin, a step-son:  Chris Jackey of Salem, two step-daughters:  Jessica Wheeler (Dan) of Fishers and Teresa Hammock of Simpsonville, South Carolina, a brother:  Larry Shanks of Salem and 11 grandchildren.
