Jean M (Applegate) Kay

Mrs. Jean M. Kay age 84 of Salem passed away Thursday, February 20 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Kay was born July 18, 1929 in Pekin the daughter of Raymond and Ruth Nicholson Applegate. She was a member of Pekin Church of Christ.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband: Glen C. Souder on February 13, 1964. She then married Victor Kay in July of 1968 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Glen Applegate, an infant brother, a grandson: Justin Nash and a step-son: Charles Kay.
She is survived by a son: David Souder (Debbie) of Pekin, two daughters: Glenda Davis (John) of Owasso, Oklahoma and Tami Nash (Roger) of Birmingham, Alabama, two step-sons: Russell Kay (Bridget) of Greenville, Indiana and Phillip Kay (Gina) of Mansfield, Texas, brother and sisters: June Gray of Pekin, Doris Tyler of Salem, Mary Miller of Salem, Lindell Applegate of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Norma Collins of Sellersburg , 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
