Janice A. Elgin, 80, formerly of Salem, passed away on April 2, 2023 at her home in Sweetwater, Tennessee.

She was born on May 22, 1942 in Howard Township, Washington County Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents William Robert (Bob) Mitchell and Dorothy Chastain Mitchell, and her granddaughter Rachel Ferguson.

She is survived by her children Cheryl (Ken) Ferguson and Carl (Melissa) Elgin; her sister Rose Mitchell; Grandchildren Jared (Meredith) Elgin, Paige (Lane) Smith and Thomas Ferguson; and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on April 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery.
