Jack Shelby Rowland

Mr. Jack Shelby Rowland, age 93, of Salem, passed away Sunday, June 20 at his home.

Mr. Rowland was born March 31, 1928 in Arthur, Tennessee the son of Wiley and Dora Evelyn Brooks Rowland. Jack was a member of Salem Church of the Nazarene. He was retired from AKZO of Louisville, and a former employee of John Jones GM. Jack was the past Master of the Salem Masonic Lodge #81, the past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Salem #286, and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sheri Rousey Rowland on June 20, 2019, they were married February 2, 1947. He is also preceded in death by a son: Jack Douglas Rowland, four brothers: Paul Albert Rowland, Carl Hilton Rowland, William Edward Rowland, and Tilman B.H. Rowland, two sisters: Willie Mae Tuttle, and Charlene Roll, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7PM and Wednesday from 9AM-until time of service at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic Service held Tuesday at 7:00 P.M.
