Mrs. Isma Elizabeth Simler, age 90, of Salem, passed away Monday, October 25 at her home.
Mrs. Simler was born November 13, 1930, in Corydon, Indiana the daughter of Kenneth and Lavine Schuppert Hurst.
She was a member of Christian Heritage Chapel and was retired from Dr. Rodney Hard’s office.
Isma married Edgar Dale Simler on June 5, 1948, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2021.
She was also preceded in death by her son:
Kevin Simler, two sisters:
Jean Elbert and Rosemary Melton, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter:
Linda Jacobs (Ray) of Salem, two brothers:
Bob
Hurst (Sara) of Lynn Haven, Florida and Joe Hurst (Donna) of The Village, Florida,
two grandchildren:
Melissa Tucker (Brad) and Brian Weston (Katie), six great-
grandchildren:
Rebecca Braid (Ethan), Omar, Alexus and Gwyn Tucker, Trey
Weston, and Matthew Jacobs (Ashley), and one great-great-granddaughter:
Cabella
Braid.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2PM at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation
will be Friday from 9AM-time of service at Weathers Funeral Home.
