Mr. Irvin R. Pixley age 84 of Salem passed away Tuesday, August 18 at his home.
Mr. Pixley was born October 4, 1930 in Pekin, Indiana the son of Arthur and Mary Mahuron Pixley. He was retired from Belz Construction. He was a member of Faith Assembly in Jeffersonville and an Army veteran.
Irvin married Norma Clark on November 21, 1953 and she preceded him in death on October 5, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his son: Richard Michael Pixley, two brothers: Arthur Pixley Jr. and Grand Pixley, four sisters: Clara Mae Hollman, Lou Phibbons, Icelene Coats and Wilma Foster and his parents. He is survived by three daughters: Sue Ballew of Salem, Sherry Greer of New Albany, and Sandy Taylor of Salem, two brothers: Jesse Pixley and Pete Pixley, two sisters: Virgie Jones and Charlene Bryant, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Faith Assembly in Jeffersonville. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday from 10AM-time of service at the church.
