Hobart Walton

Mr. Hobart Walton age 96 of Salem passed away Monday, July 25 at his home.  Mr. Walton was born February 17, 1920 in Campbellsburg, Indiana the son of Ives and Lalah Pennington Walton.  He was a retired employee of BF Goodrich and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Salem First Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife:  Viola Mount Walton, a son:  Carey Walton, a daughter,  three brothers:  Cleo, Cecil and Jack Walton, four sisters:  Wilma Karnes, Dorthy Rexroat, Fernia Bierly, and Clara E. Sweeney, a grandson and granddaughter and his parents.  He is survived by a son:  Kenneth Walton (Sherry) of Salem, two daughters:  Barbara Vogel (Donald) of Columbus and Lisa Tyler (Jim) of Pekin, a brother:  Vance Walton of Borden, a sister:  Virginia Coots of Salem, 8 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild,  6 great-grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandchild.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Gentiva Hospice 391 Quartermaster Court  Jeffersonville, IN  47130
