Helen (Meredith) Walls

Mrs. Helen Walls, age 88, of Scottsburg, passed away Friday, January 15 at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg.

Mrs. Walls was born April 12, 1932 in Bowling Green, Kentucky the daughter of Luther Meredith and Cora Mae Gipson Meredith. She was a member of Full Gospel Outreach and a former employee of Smith Cabinet.

Helen married Fred Walls Sr. on December 10, 1960 and he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by a son:  Gary A. Jones, a daughter:  Patricia Ann Mills, three brothers:  Wilbert, Walter and Earl Meredith, four sisters:  Ora Ferguson, Dora Meredith, Luella Roggi and Mary Davidson, and her parents.

She is survived by two sons:  Larry Jones of Campbellsburg and Fred L. Walls Jr. of Scottsburg, a daughter:  Linda Martin of Mitchell, a sister:  Dorothy McCoy of Muncie, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Hop Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM and Wednesday from 11AM-time of service.

Due to Covid restrictions, only 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time for visitation and masks are required to be worn at all times.
