Mrs. Helen C. Engleking age 84 of Salem passed away Saturday, June 6 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
Mrs. Engleking was born June 7, 1930 in New Castle, Indiana the daughter of Norman and Hattie Huddleston Couch. She was a retired employee of Western Electric and Older Americans. She was a member of Westview Christian Church.
Helen married Norvin Neal Engleking on February 26, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a brother: George Couch, two sisters: Marie Burkhart and Louise Edwards, a granddaughter and her parents. She is survived by three sons: Larry Engleking of Hardinsburg, Jim Engleking of Wolcott, Indiana and David Engleking of Salem, two daughters: Deborah Kienow of Winona, Minnesota and Brenda Buck of Knightstown, Indiana, two brothers: Lyman Couch and Bill Couch both of Greenfield, Indiana, four sisters: Gladys Reeves of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Ann Bricker of Wilkinson, Indiana, Laura Sexton of Indianapolis, Indiana and Linda Monroe of Greenfield, 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
