Gle Etta Marie Williams

Gle Etta, age 78 of Salem, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Gle Etta was born, April 10, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the parents of Ralph and Vina Mae Stephenson Decker.

Gle Etta was a member of Westview Christian Church. She retired after many years with the Salem Middle School cafeteria. Many of her days were consumed by keeping up with her love of flower gardening and admiring butterflies. She also captured thousands of smiles with her passion for photography. And anytime a grandkid was at Mamaw's be prepared for a day of crafting.

She is survived by 3 sons: Chuck Williams (Kerri) of Salem, Steve Williams (Jenifer) of Starlight, IN, and Richard Williams of Salem, a step-daughter: Cristy Brown (Adrian) of Sellersburg IN, a sister: Gaylene Strain of Indianapolis, IN, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Gle Etta was preceded in death by her husband Charles Larry Williams, a brother, Dwight Decker and her parents.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, from 1:00-5:00P.M at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Westview Christian Church.
