Geraldine M. Howerton age 63 of Salem passed away Thursday, June 28 at her home.
Mrs. Howerton was born January 19, 1949 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Tomas and Viola Butler Culver. She was a retired LPN for Meadowview Nursing Home and a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: James Howerton of Salem, three sons: Vince and Allan Bowles of Salem and Jeremy Bowles of Brownstown, two daughters: BIllie Kinteh of Louisville, Kentucky and Hope Davis of Shelbyville, Kentucky, four step-sons: James Howerton Jr. and Roger Howerton both of Salem, Frank and Brian Bowles and 2 step-daughters: Kelly Hein of Salem, and Barbara Thixton of Salem, two brothers: Butch Gable of Brownville, North Dakota and Bill Gable of Burlington, North Dakota, two sisters: Viana Hawes of Velva, North Dakota and Patricia Keperling of Las Vegas, Nevada, her parents: Vincent and Viola Gable of Bismark, North Dakota, 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son: David Bowles.
