George N Richardson Jr.

Mr. George N. Richardson Jr. age 84 of Salem passed away Tuesday, December 23 at his home.

Mr. Richardson was born July 14, 1930 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania the son of George N. Richardson Sr. and Florence Souser Richardson.  He was a retired employee of GKN.  He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men.  He was also a member of Salem Lions Club and a lifetime member of Gideon’s International.  He was a past member of Rotary International.  George was also a veteran.

George married Janet Fehse on September 12, 1953.  He is survived by his wife: Janet Richardson of Salem, a son:  Daniel Richardson (Cheryl) of Crossville, Tennessee, two daughters:  Susan Record (Russell) of Indianapolis and Marcia Grassmyer (Richard) of Salem, a sister:  Mirriam Griffith of Erie, Pennsylvania, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister:  Vivian Richardson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas S. Finney officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9Am-time of service.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gideon’s International or Salem United Methodist Church.
