Geneva (Lemarr) Dowling

Geneva Dowling, age 85, of Salem, passed away Thursday, December 30 at her home.

Geneva was born January 20, 1936, in Lee County, Virginia the daughter of Arthur and Veda Goins Lemarr.  She was a retired employee of Childcraft Industries and a former employee of Campbellsburg Hardware. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter:  Tina Sorrels (Calvin) of Salem, a brother:  Johnny Lemarr of Salem, two sisters:  Virginia Byrd and Jennetta Jonas both of Salem, two grandsons:  Clint Bailey and Kyle Sorrels (Tiffany Brewer), a granddaughter:  Misty Dowling, and a great-granddaughter:  Isabelle Sorrels.  She was preceded in death by a son:  Terry Dowling, two brothers:  Emmette Marion and Leonard Marion and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
