Gary L Bush

Mr. Gary L. Bush age 75 of Salem passed away Tuesday, May 16 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Bush was born August 13, 1941 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Jesse and Dorothy Hattabaugh Bush. He was retired after 27 ½ years from the City of Salem Police Department and Parks and Rec Department. He was a member of Westview Christian Church and Fraternal Order of Police. He served in the National Guard and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Gary is survived by his wife: Shirley Smith Bush. They were married June 16, 1962. He is also survived by his daughter: Sherri Hoar (David) of Campbellsburg, two sisters: Bonnie Coomer (Sherman) of Pekin and Barbara Sue Walker (Joe) of Fredericksburg, two granddaughters: Leslie Stumler (Nevin) and Ashley Hoar, a great grandson: Hendrix Stumler and three nephews: Shannon and Travis Coomer and Aaron Packwood. He was preceded in death by a brother: Carl Wayne Bush and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Westview Christian Church. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Friday from 10AM-time of service at the church.
