The Harley-Davidson nation lost one of its own this week. Fred Brewer died on May 4th in New Albany, IN.
Fredrick Earl Brewer was born to Nettie and Everett Brewer on June 18th, 1950, at home in Campbellsburg, IN. He was the 8th of 9 children, graduating from West Washington High School in 1968. Fred was a long-haul truck driver for much of his working life, and then served as an industrial electrician. He and his second wife, Patricia, lived more than 30 years in the Fort Myers (Florida) area. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patty, three brothers, Jean Brewer, Danny Brewer, Larry Brewer; two sisters, Brenda Warren and Kay Wells and a granddaughter, Ashley Sanders.
Fred leaves behind two daughters: Melinda (John) Brewer Sterrett of New Albany IN and Rhonda (Scott) Sanders of Shoals IN, three grandchildren, Andrew Williams (MN), Katlyn Sanders (French Lick) and Justin Sanders (Shoals); two Stepdaughters, three step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, an older brother Wayne (Charlotte) Brewer (West Baden Springs), sister Gloria Francis (TX), sister Pamela Miller (GA) and numerous nephews and nieces all of whom he loved very much.
Services for Fred will be on Saturday, May 7th, at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be from 9-11 am, with a brief service to follow in the chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Orleans. The family appreciates your prayers and fond memories of Fred. Donations to a charity or church of your choice in Fred Brewer’s name would be appreciated.
