Mrs. Frances "Granny Jonesy" Adeline Jones age 82 of Salem passed away Sunday, June 11 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.
Mrs. Jones was born August 21, 1934 in Salem the daughter of Emil and Opal Cress Stewart. She was a retired employee of Buehler’s Grocery Store in Seymour and a Baptist.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Jones, a son: Michael Jones, a sister: Ilene Kirk, a great-grandson, a great-granddaughter and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter: Debbie Russell of Salem, a sister: Mary Purlee of Sellersburg, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
