Mrs. Fannie Marie Collins, age 86, of Salem, passed away Thursday, June 13 at her home.
Mrs. Collins was born August 15, 1932 in Sneedville, Tennessee the daughter of Millard and Della Jones Sexton. She was a retired employee of Hill’s Produce. She was a member of Salem Church of God of Prophecy.
Fannie is survived by her husband: Eugene Collins. They were married June 10, 1962. She is also survived by a son: Elvis Collins (Belinda) of Tunnelton, a daughter: Reba Jean Wynn (Michael) of Kentucky, a brother: Deward Sexton of Rose Hill, Virginia, a sister: Martha Hornsby of Rose Hill, Virginia, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son: Leonard Sturgill, two brothers: Shirley Sexton and Paul Sexton, three sisters: Myrtle Johnicon, Marie Pace, and Hassie Zwizk and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6PM and Tuesday from 10AM-time of service.
