Mr. Everett R. Voyles, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone in the community, passed away Thursday, April 28 at Baptist Health Floyd.
Mr. Voyles was born October 22, 1924, in Washington County, Indiana the son of William S. Voyles and Clara Mae Hall Voyles. He was a Farmer, an Elder and member of Kansas Church of Christ, and a member of Farm Bureau.
Everett was preceded in death by his loving wife: Helen Rippey Voyles on August 14, 2017. They were married November 10, 1946. He was also preceded in death by his son: Frederick Jay Voyles, a sister: Etta Irene Voyles, and his parents.
He is survived by two sons: Donovan Voyles of Phenix City, Alabama, and Alan Voyles of Salem, a daughter: Peggy Nordhoff of Birdseye, eleven grandchildren: Yvonne, David, Shawn, Elisa, Jason, Stephanie, Everett “Rhett”, Kenneth, Heather, Amanda, and Matt, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 10AM-time of service.
