Evelynn F (Jacobs) Hamilton

Mrs. Evelynn F. Hamilton age 84 of Salem passed away Monday, November 24 at University of Louisville Hospital.

Mrs. Hamilton was born January 26, 1930 in Orleans the daughter of Harold and Ruth Brinson Jacobs.  She was a retired employee of GKN.  She was a member of Westview Christian Church and was active in Ladies Aid.

Evelynn married Charles Hamilton on October 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by a son:  Gary William Hamilton, a daughter:  Brenda L. Theiring, a brother:  Harold Jacobs, and her parents.  She is survived by two sons:  Charles Hamilton of Pekin and Michael Scott Hamilton of Salem, a daughter:  Debra A. Drake of Brownstown, two sisters:  Georgia Strange and Kathleen Jacobs both of Orleans, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
