Evalyn (Middleton) Brown

Mrs. Evalyn Brown, age 87, passed away Saturday, March 28 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.

Mrs. Brown was born January 17, 1933 in Harlan, Kentucky the daughter of Orville and Delora Witt Middleton.  She was a retired loan officer.  She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Evalyn was preceded in death by her husband:  Robert Brown on February 26, 2006, two sons:  James Robert Brown and Joey Brown, two brothers:  Walter Middleton, and Orville Middleton, Jr., two sisters:  Phyllis Persinger and Barbara Robinson, and her parents.

She is survived by a granddaughter:  Brittany Vertrees (Patrick) of Lanesville, a great-grandson:  Ryder Vertrees of Lanesville, a sister: Anna Tegarden of Salem, and 9 nieces and nephews.

Per Mrs. Brown’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services and burial will be private at Crown Hill Cemetery.
