Mrs. Ethel M. Simpson, age 77, of Loogootee, passed away, Saturday, October 14 at her home.

Mrs. Simpson was born March 12, 1946 in Spencer Co., Kentucky the daughter of Aaron Decker Stump and Minnie Sweazy Kimball. She attended Legacy Life Church. She retired custodian for Hitachi Cable Indiana.

She is survived by a son: William Ratchford of Loogootee, a daughter: Laveeta Seabolt of Loogootee, two brothers: Troy Kimball and Tony Kimball, eight sisters: Fay Martin, Rita Kimball, Sonsura Jeppson, Paula Kimball, Trina Kimball, Debbie Kimball, Vicki Steele, and Sheila Al-Moria, five grandchildren: Joseph Seabolt, Darian Seabolt, Jerimiah Seabolt, Cheryl Smith, and Jesse Ratchford, six great-grandchildren: Jayden Nix, Dylan Nix, Amiah Seabolt, Fayelynn Seabolt, Hazel Wicker, Suellen Seabolt, and two more on the way, and her step-father: Marlin Kimball.

She is preceded in death by a son: James Aaron Ratchford, two brothers: William Edward Stump, and Aaron Stump, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10AM-until time of service at the funeral home.
