Emmett Edward Forydce

Mr. Emmett Edward Fordyce age 81 passed away Friday, January 10 at The Waters of Scottsburg.

Mr. Fordyce was born February 16, 1932 in Salem the son of Morton and Agnes Nicholson Fordyce.  He was a retired employee of L G&E in Louisville and owner of Bear Front End Alignment.  He was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Paoli.

He married Etta Brown on August 4, 1951 and she preceded him in death on October 19, 1988.  He is also preceded in death by his son:  Eddie Lawrence Fordyce, his daughter:  Vickie Lynn Fordyce, a brother:  Irvin Fordyce and his parents.  He is survived by a brother;  Charles Fordyce of Salem, his companion and caregiver:  Mary Mead of Salem, a brother in law and sister in law;  Eddie and Lila Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.  Masonic services will be held Sunday at 7PM at the funeral home.
