Elmo Herman Brown

Mr. Elmo Herman Brown, age 106, of Salem, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Silver Oaks Nursing Home in Columbus.

Mr. Brown was born June 30, 1917 in Washington County the son of Pete and Lula Lockenhour Brown. He was a member of Big Springs Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Helen Ruth Miller Brown, a daughter: Janet Trueblood (Larry), three brothers: Merle Brown, Oren Brown, and Arnold Brown, three half-brothers: Pete Brown, Jesse Brown, and Bob Brown, a step-brother- Albert Lamb, a sister: Ruth McKinney, a step-sister: Grace Maudlin, and his parents.

Elmo is survived by a son: Alan R. Brown (Kim) of Simpsonville, Kentucky, a daughter: Barbara J. Tempel (Jim) of Columbus, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11AM-until time of service.
