Ella Rose (Dunn) Florence

Mrs. Ella Rose Florence age 81 of Vallonia passed away Monday, March 12 at Salem Crossing.

Mrs. Florence was born October 13, 1936 in Orange County, Indiana the daughter of Omer Lawrence and Adda Moore Dunn.  She was a homemaker and former employee of Clark’s Frozen Foods.  She was a member of Kansas Church of Christ.

She married Irvin Florence on October 5, 1956 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1988.  She was also preceded in death by five brothers:  Omer, Gerald, Carl Wayne, Donald Eugene, Everett and Rob Dunn, one grandson:  Jacob Voyles and her parents.

She is survived by a son:  Donald Florence (Linda Strange) of Fredericksburg, four daughters:  Carolyn Gibson (Jon) of Salem, Lois Florence (David Gregory) and Zan Dean both of Vallonia, and Carol Mack (Curtis) of Austin, a foster son:  Jason McIntyre of Clarksville, Indiana, two sisters:  Ellen Sturgeon and Alice Clause both of Paoli, eight grandchildren:  Donald Daughtrey Jr., Cara Cravens, Daniel Voyles, Krissy Carey, Michael Mack, Timmy Mack, Curtis Daniel Mack, and Isaiah Dean and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Noon at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10AM-time of service.
