Mrs. Elizabeth Humphrey Tatom age 78 of Seymour, formerly of Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 11 at her home in Seymour.
Mrs. Tatom was born August 1, 1938 in Bloomington, Illinois the daughter of Lloyd H. and Thelma Bloyd Cozart. She was a homemaker. She was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary of Salem, Post 41. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and VFW Post 1925 in Seymour.
Elizabeth married Charles Humphrey on February 11, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2006. She married Harold Tatom on June 17, 2008.
She is survived by her husband: Harold Tatom of Seymour, seven sons: Paul Humphrey of Campbellsburg, Steven Humphrey of Vallonia, Dale Catlett of Mitchell, James Catlett of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, Joseph Humphrey of Salem, Vernon Humphrey of Salem and Edward Humphrey of Haleysburg, a daughter: Debra Durbin of Salem, two step-sons: Randy Tatom of Columbus, Ohio and George Tatom of Seymour, a step-daughter: Lisa Hall of North Vernon, a brother: Clifford Cozart of Salem, 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Bloyd, a grandson: Wesley Humphrey, a great-grandson: Ian Catlett and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vallonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
