Mr. Edward Green age 77 of Vallonia (Washington County) passed away Saturday, April 4 at Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville.
Mr. Green was born December 14, 1937 in Bledsoe, Kentucky the son of Chester and Opha Nantz Green. He was retired from Austin Power in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Crane Blocker Green of Vallonia. They were married March 24, 2009. He is also survived by his children: Laura C. Green of Stafford, Virginia, Monica L. Green Ross-Clunis of Seaford, Virginia and Michael Edward Green of Yorktown, Virginia, four step-sons: Sonny Blocker of Vallonia, Joseph Blocker of Louisville, Dan Blocker of Butlerville, Indiana and John Blocker of Riverside, California, three step-daughters: Margaret Miller of Vallonia, and Becky Tucker and Sue Hacker both of Salem, two brothers: Donald Green of Scottsburg and Chester Wayne Green of Salem, two sisters: Nancy Cooper of Millington, Michigan and Oma Tompkins of Salem, 4 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, and 16 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Olen Green and a sister: Crystal Green.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
