Earl Hinkle Jr.

Mr. Earl Hinkle Jr. age 90 of Salem passed away Thursday, February 5 at 12:30AM at Meadow View Health Care Center and Rehab.
Mr. Hinkle was born February 19, 1924 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Earl William Hinkle and Emma Simpson Hinkle. He retired after 34 years from Indiana Bell Telephone in Indianapolis. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Gene Hinkle in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his brother: Howard Hinkle, a sister: Mary Bowers and his parents.
On July 31, 2005 Earl married Martha Fultz Medlock and she survives. He is also survived by his son: Rex Hinkle of Bloomington, his daughter: Rhonda Hine (Bob) of Cloverdale, Indiana, two step-daughters: Jana Davis (Eric) and Sara Jo Wiseman (Gale) both of Salem, two step-granddaughters and one step-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:00PM in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
