Mrs. Dorothy June Walton age 84 of Salem, formerly of Pekin, passed away Thursday, October 8 at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Mrs. Walton was born November 20, 1930 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Kenneth K. Sr. and Frances Miller King. She was a retired employee of the Washington County License Branch. She was a member of Fort Hill Church of Christ and Republican Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Walton, a brother: John D. King and her parents.
She is survived by two sons: Rick Brown of Indianapolis and David A. Walton of Sellersburg, five daughters: Diana “Rabbit” Hubbard of Salem, Cindy Jorgenson of Chicago, Ardith Hoke of Vero Beach, Florida, Roberta Newlon of Pekin and Brenda Lemmons of Henryville, two brothers: Kenneth King Jr. of Madison and William E. King of Chandler, Arizona, two sisters: Mary M. Burns of Salem and Carol Lee Chenier of Clinton, Missouri, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
