Doris L (Hoke) Beams Chesser

Mrs. Doris L. Beams Chesser age 82 of Pekin passed away Wednesday, September 30 at Salem Crossing.

Mrs. Chesser was born January 19, 1933 in Prospect, Kentucky the daughter of Oscar and Mary Owens Hoke.  She was a retired employee of Kimball Office Furniture in Borden.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  Roy K Beams, a son:  Donald Beams, five brothers:  Edward, Paul, Lewis, Kenny, and Lucius Hoke, two sisters:  Mary Hoke and Caroline Jackson, two granddaughters:  Tiffany Smith and Autumn Beams.  She is survived by five sons:  Roy Beams of Old Hickory, Tennessee, Oscar Beams of Pekin, Kevin and Brian Beams both of Salem, and Neal Beams of Indianapolis, two daughters:  Bonnie Clem and Anna Hedrick both of Salem, two sisters:  Martha Sullivan of Salem and Joellen Potts of Salem, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will in Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
