Donald "Donnie" Coleman Florence

Mr. Donald “Donnie” Coleman Florence, age 66, of Fredericksburg, passed away Tuesday, July 11 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. Florence was born March 18, 1957, in Salem, the son of Irvin and Ella Rose Dunn Florence.  He was a former employee of Child Craft, Blue River Feed Mill and Kimball’s in Salem.

Donnie is survived by his girlfriend:  Linda Strange of Fredericksburg, a son:  Donald Coleman “Peewee” Daughtery (Becky) of Birdseye, Linda’s children: Troy, Jerry Jr., and Scott, Debbie Sue, Chris, and Angie, a foster brother:  Jason McIntyre of New Albany, three sisters:  Carolyn Gibson (Jon) of Salem, Zan Dean of Salem, and Carol Mack (Curtis) of Deputy, 2 grandchildren, and his dog: Katie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Ella Rose Florence, a sister:  Lois Florence and a nephew:  Jacob Voyles.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from Noon-time of service.
