Delores Faye (Lockhart) Tye

Mrs. Delores Faye Tye age 84 of Salem passed away Tuesday, May 10 at Salem Crossing.

Mrs. Tye was born October 7, 1931 in Mt. Eden, Indiana the daughter of Nora Lockhart Reinhardt.  She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Faye married Roger Alexander on December 18, 1947 and he preceded her in death.  She then married Kenneth Tye on November 7, 1970 and he also preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her mother:  Nora Reinhardt, sister:  Marie Owens, brother:  Gerald Lockhart, three children:  Roger Alexander, Robert Alexander and Pamela Morris, two sons-in-law:  Alton Morris and Carl Roll, two grandchildren:  Nicki Morris and Bridget Hedrick and one great-great-grandchild:  Gracie Bruce.

She is survived by one son:  Roy Alexander (Tammy) of Salem, two daughters:  Brenda Morris and Linda Roll both of Salem, two step-sons:  Clarence and Windell Tye both of Salem, two step-daughters:  Dorothy Mitchell of Salem and Kathy Royalty of Franklin, two sisters:  Carolyn Potter of Salem and Mary Brian of New Albany, 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
