Delores F (Jones) Conner

Mrs. Delores F. Conner age 73 of Salem passed away Sunday, July 6 at 12:40AM at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Conner was born October 11, 1940 in Salem the daughter of John and Marjorie Newby Jones. She worked for AAA Louisville Auto Club from 1964-1974 as secretary to Safety Director. She worked for David Allen in Child Support Division as a secretary and for Smith Cabinet Manufacturing as a hand sander. She was a member of Blue River Friends Church, Borden Chapter #588 Order of Eastern Star and was Worthy Matron for 18 years. She was also Grand Representative and District Deputy #3. She served as Ruth for Salem Chapter #282 Order of Eastern Star.
Delores married Arthur Conner on February 22, 1985 and he survives. She is also survived by two sons: Richard Eric Bottorff (Shannon) and Shawn Ray Bottorff (Tawny) both of Salem, a brother: Roger Jones of Arizona, three sisters: Audrey Callon of Omaha, Nebraska, Shirley Smego of Fort Worth, Texas and Brenda Landreth (Randy) of Eckerty, Indiana, and 4 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew and 1 granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Blue River Friends Church. Burial will follow in Blue River Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Thursday from 9AM-time of service at the church.
