Danny Wayne Ledford

Mr. Danny Wayne Ledford, age 76, of Salem, passed away Friday, January 31 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Mr. Ledford was born September 3, 1943 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of Farmer and Sophia Herd Ledford.  He was a former Meat Department Manager for Hilltop Grocery and was retired from Kimball International in Borden.  Danny was a people person and enjoyed sharing his love for the Lord. He was a member of Canton Christian Church and Vallonia Conservation Club.

Danny is survived by his wife:  Margery Zink Ledford of Salem, his son:  Michael “Scott” Ledford (Glinda) of Pekin, three sisters:  Alice Faye Voyles (Randy) of Vallonia, Phyllis Spears (Joe) of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Jeannie Sanders (Irvin) of Salem, three grandchildren:  Brian Ledford, Amanda Ledford, and Matthew Lee (Priscilla), and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  James Farmer Ledford, a sister:  Evangeline Ledford and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM until time of service.
