Dale Kelly Hottle

Mr. Dale Kelly Hottle, age 75, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Hottle was born July 17, 1941, the son of Herbert W. and Lydia Glenn Tyler Hottle. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem. Mr. Hottle was a graduate of Indiana University with a Master’s Degree in secondary education. He taught English at Paoli High School and was a charter member of Orange County Players and Washington County Actors Community Theatre, having directed and starred in numerous productions over the years. He completed seminary at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a degree in music. Mr. Hottle was a former youth minister and choir director for several churches in the area. He spent many years as a correspondent for the Salem Leader/Democrat.

Mr. Hottle was preceded in death by a brother: Bruce Hottle, two sisters: Wanda Williams and Rhodella Martin and his parents. He is survived by his nephew: Larry Martin of Little York and his niece: Rhonda Back of Boonville.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hancock Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11AM.
